As some other plans fell through, I reached out to a few private tour companies on phone, email, and Hire Taxi japan got back to me in an hour on WhatsApp. They were super efficient, quick to the point and helped me make a plan. They provided options and it was easy to pick one. They informed quickly about the car details, and the contact information for the driver-guide. Taro KAN-san communicated early, arrived on time, spoke next level English, and easily paced us through the day. He asked for our preferences, and suggested a timeline that worked great. He walked with us to help us take pictures, informed and educated us on the local history, customs and culture of Yamanashi prefecture, and even suggested a wonderful place for us to have lunch that was local, and had great local food. All in all, a most memorable day, made possible by this wonderful company and their amazinf guides. We would strongly recommend this to anyone considering a private tour in the Tokyo area.

We knew he would drive us, but I did not expect him to also guide us through the site visits. Also, the car accommodated our large group of seven (7), it even had Wi-Fi! We are so glad we got this service and definitely recommend!

Absolutely worth it. This 10 hour tour was the most relaxing and educational trips I have experienced in Japan. Our driver Taro Kan was extremely professional. His fluency in English rivals any native speaker. From the moment my girlfriend and I were picked up we were treated like VIP’s. I highly recommend this trip to anyone. It was a really nice experience with Taro. Our guide and driver. He was kind enough to explain patiently enough and more history of Tokyo. We covered a lot and was extremely detailed and showed us step by step parts of an inclusive culture. He even went out of the way to show some places we had in our mind and helped us curate best experiences covering blend of shopping, praying and more.

Taro is a very good driver/guide. He suggested that we left early to avoid the crowds. He took us to beautiful places to see Mt Fuji. He scheduled our itinerary so that we maximize our time. For example, while at Mt Fuji Panoramic Ropeway, he waited in line for us while we went on a jet boat, so we didn’t have to wait in line. He prepared some bread cubes for us to feed the swans on Lake Yamanaka. He also speaks English very well. Thank you Taro!

And what made it incredible was our driver/tour guide: Taro. I wish I could express my thanks to him more because he made me and my family’s first trip here very memorable. He made sure we experienced Japan authentically and in the best way. I loved and enjoyed every site and monument we visited, and I was able to learn so much about the history as well because of him. Seeing Mount Fuji in person, all the shrines and temples, the rides/cave, the food, the Sky Tree, the shopping centers and city life (Shibuya especially), etc. Was truly and collectively the best experience. I would definitely recommend this experience to others and for myself too in the future if I ever visit again. Infinite thank you’s to Taro! We wanted to say that this was a great experience. The driver was really available, talked well in English and even acted as a tour guide. We wanted to see some locations, but also asked for his opinion regarding other places to see. Safe to say he did not disappoint we managed we managed to see our locations and extras. In general it was a great experience and I highly recommend it.

Taro was EXTRAORDINARILY good! He was timely, friendly, and looked out for us during our tour. He took us to several wonderful sites, explaining history and traditional Japanese customs along the way. Being bilingual, we had great two-way communication. If we return, we will hire him again!!! He has a lot of insight on not only the local current culture, but hte history of Japan as well. We were able to experience a lot of lovely memories, and walked away with a stamp collecting keepsake as well. We highly recommend the experience!
