As may be apparent from the name of the company, the reason I found the firm is so that my customers would head home from Japan with irreplaceable souvenirs in the forms of precious and life-lasting memories.

Materials things come and go in life but good memories stay with you until your last dying breath.

While quite a few government-licensed guide interpreters are particular about the correctness of the stories they preach to their customers on the Japanese culture and history, I am an exception.

Do not get me wrong though. I do not make things up or “wing” the situation by telling falsehood. After all I am also a government-licensed guide interpreter and I have standards to keep. It is just that my priority is different.

For me, correct cultural and historical facts are just decorations sprinkled on top of the cake which must necessarily be baked from fine ingredients like good memories. Why orate on the details of the decorations when the cake is missing.
